Job Openings at Sidehill Farm
At Sidehill Farm we graze and milk a small herd of Normande and Jersey cows. We sell raw milk at the farm, and also produce delicious yogurt, which is delivered to stores and restaurants around Massachusetts. Our mission is to produce the healthiest, best-tasting yogurt and raw milk available by focusing on a total picture of health—of our customers, our cows, our crops, the local working rural landscape, and the robust biological and human community within which we all thrive. We also like to have fun! We are expanding and need talented people to work with us.
We are currently looking to fill two positions at the farm.
Yogurt maker and Production Assistant
Full Time, 5 days per week
We are looking for a mechanically inclined person to join our yogurt making team. Responsibilities will include all phases of yogurt production from start to finish, hauling milk from our partner farms with our truck and tanker trailer, and supporting the production manager with mechanical back-up and troubleshooting. We are looking for someone who is focused on quality, is willing to learn new skills, and loves to be a part of a close-knit team. We are a hard working group that does whatever it takes to produce high quality yogurt, but still likes to laugh and have fun. If this sounds like you, please contact us!
Working in the creamery will take up about half of your week’s hours. Other days will be more self- directed and independent – maintaining equipment, fixing things that need repairs or assisting other team members in the yogurt making process. This position does not involve working with the cows.

Raw Milk Bottler
12-15 hours per week, WEdnesdays and Fridays.
We sell about 120 gallons of raw milk a week in our farm shop, and are looking for someone to take the lead on bottling, managing online milk orders, and farm shop stocking. Responsibilities will include bottling raw milk for retail sale at the farm, washing returned glass milk bottles for refilling, and stocking retail fridges with yogurt, milk, cheese, etc. Basic computer and internet skills are required for managing online orders. Farm shop stocking often involves interactions with customers, so candidates should be positive, friendly and helpful. Must be scrupulously clean, and attentive to all details surrounding product quality and cleanliness. Did we say clean? – a compulsion for cleanliness would not be inappropriate! Must be able to lift 35 lbs repeatedly, and drive a golf cart. Year-round position. $12/hour to start.
